Meanwhile, back home, things are getting SPOOKY!


NEWS FLASH: It has been established that produce which have recently gone moldy, have been RETURNING TO RIPE and committing acts of terrorific cuteness. Widespread investigations of reports at grocery stores and farmers markets have concluded that decomposing produce seem to be COMING BACK TO RIPE, and seeking human victims!

    I'm sure you've guessed by now that Leah's back-home beau has way too much idle time on his hands... and, looking at his creations, I'm concerned about his mental state as well. But you have to admit it doesn't get much cuter than that new addition to the pineapple crew! What creativeness! (Must get it from his Meem).
    Make sure to give Leah a hug for me and tell her to keep smiling and get back here as soon as possible, we already miss her (and you too of course!)

Aloha Hawaii!

  Eight years ago, when Ross and I’s relationship was just barely blooming, he asked me to join him on a trip to Hawaii. His long time friends Richard and Cindy would also be there. Not one to pass up an adventure, I accepted! I totally changed Ross’ plans to sit on the same beach for an entire week, but we had a fantastic time and I made some new, life-long friends in Richard and Cindy. Hawaii - Final Day!

  Our flight on Sunday didn’t take off until almost 9pm, so we had time to do some last minute things. We took our time getting going in the morning and tried to come up with a game plan. We were a little tired from the mediocre bed and the karaoke that was going on in a nearby room the night before. This hotel earned all of its 2 stars.   We decided to start our day with some breakfast from the same shop down the street that we had gone to the other day then head over to the Honolulu Zoo. The zoo opened at 10 and there was quite a line to get in! But we didn’t have anywhere else to be and the line moved fairly quickly. The Honolulu Zoo is currently #4 in the USA Today contest for best zoo in the US. Voting is still going on, so vote for your favorite! Milwaukee wasn’t on the list, otherwise we would have voted for our hometown.  Inside of the bathroom stall doors had fun facts! Road Trip 2019 Day 5: Welcome to the West Coast

Day 5 - 26 June 2019 Day 5! Neither of us was as sore as I expected after all those hours hiking yesterday. The alarm woke us up at 7am. We were shooting for an 8am departure, but it was 8:33 when we got on the road. I made us a pot of coffee so we could fill our mugs for the drive. We also finally got to see the scenery of Star/Boise, ID. It was beautiful and the houses were as big as we had guessed the night before.  Once we got on the road we crossed into Oregon at 9:19am. About 40 minutes later we arrived at our first stop, Baker City, OR. How could we not stop?! We had breakfast at the Lone Pine cafe. I had some avocado toast and Ross had some Huevos Rancheros. Both were very tasty! The weather was great, so we sat outside. Baker City’s main drag is cute and has an old feel to it.
